These converted warehouse spaces on the site of the old Spitalfields Market, in the East London borough of Tower Hamlets, make my heart go "boom, boom, boom"!
Your lively spirit is welcome! Small is beautiful and imagination rules. Working with found wood is one of my interests and has proven to be very satisfying. My wife and I once lived in a sod house about the size of your apartment. It was in an Eskimo village 100 miles north of the Arctic Circle in Alaska. We redid the roof, added new sod and hunkered in for the winter. After that was a 20' geodesic dome made from recycled materials. It was such a blast! Carry on with your creative spirit. Cheers, Michael DeMarco Olympic Peninsula, Washington.
I know what you mean about the heart going boom, boom boom....Anything that I see rusted, chipped, torn, used makes me very happy and creative. I love your taste!
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI just read the NYTimes article about both you and Dasha! In this day and age it's nice to know that kindred spirits are alive and well.
Congratulations to both of you for living life with love and joy!
Be well.
